I've been doing lots of school readings lately. A reading to Ms. Hourigan's class at Gibsons Elementary, two readings at Langdale Elementary, and two readings at Madeira Park Elementary. Thanks to all the teachers and kids involved, and thanks to teacher Ann Chow at Langdale for the photo below.
Gave a reading to Grade 3,4, and 5 students at McBride Centennial Elementary School last Friday. Thanks to principal Kairyn Russel Janecke for arranging that and to all the McBride kids for their great questions. Adventure on Whalebone Island is also now available in the McBride public library!

Adventure on Whalebone Island was reviewed by Jan Degrass in the Coast Reporter this past weekend. She calls it "A lively tale for kids aged eight to 12... which follows classic children's adventure story lines." You can see the full article here.
Yesterday I did my first book reading for Adventure on Whalebone Island, to the kids at the Rookery class of the Davis Bay outdoor school. We actually did the reading on the beach at Davis Bay. A little chilly, but a perfect location for this book! Adventure on Whalebone Island is now available online at Amazon! Both print and kindle ebook versions.
